Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Aide to join our Housekeeping team. As an integral part of our hospitalโ€™s commitment to patient safety and cleanliness, you will play a key role in maintaining a sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, and other assigned hospital spaces following infection control standards
  • Remove trash, soiled linen, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas
  • Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other tools as needed
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Follow daily cleaning checklists and maintain documentation as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience (hospital or healthcare setting preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
