Summary of PositionThis position includes instructing undergraduate courses and fostering an engaging learning environment. Key duties include delivering lectures, conducting labs/fieldwork, grading, and holding office hours. Position is predominantly in person, though some remote work may be assigned on an as needed basis.
Position InformationPlans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments will be at YSU Campus, Youngstown, Ohio.
Qualifications and CompetenciesRequired Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: At least master's degree in environmental science, or a master's degree in another field plus at least 18 graduate credit hours in environmental science.Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: An advanced degree in environmental science. Academic background featuring multiple physical-science laboratory courses and a minimum of two semesters of introductory environmental science courses and labs.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
