Job description

POSITION: Steward / Dishwasher
FACILITY: Erie Events
STATUS: Part-Time
REPORTS TO: Head Steward
PAY RANGE: $14.00 - $14.75 per hour
Be the Backbone of Our Culinary Team at the Bayfront Convention Center
Behind every incredible meal served at the Bayfront Convention Center is a dedicated kitchen team-and our Stewards/Dishwashers play a vital role in keeping it all running smoothly. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and like to keep things clean and organized, this behind-the-scenes opportunity is for you.
This is a great entry-level role in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. We'll provide the training-you bring the energy and work ethic.
What You'll Do
As a Steward/Dishwasher, you'll support kitchen and concessions operations by keeping things clean, stocked, and running smoothly:
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and trays used in concessions and culinary operations
  • Ensure all items coming from the dishwasher are spotless and properly stored
  • Maintain safe, clean floors and workspaces throughout the kitchen and storage areas
  • Deep clean floors in storage rooms, employee restrooms, walk-in coolers/freezers, and more as needed
  • Restock shelves with paper goods and assist with organizing deliveries
  • Follow sanitation procedures and complete cleaning projects assigned by the Chef
  • Support the kitchen team with food and supply storage tasks
  • Adhere to all Bayfront Convention Center policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with chefs, coworkers, and event teams to ensure a top-quality operation

What We're Looking For
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and comfortable multitasking
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and safely use cleaning chemicals (training provided)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • No experience necessary-we'll train the right person!
  • Must demonstrate reliable attendance and be available for scheduled events
