Location: Puget Sound, Washington (Lynnwood & Seattle area)

Schedule: Part-Time | Up to 60 hours per month | Hybrid/Partially Remote

Travel: Bi-monthly travel to Visalia, California

Help Shape Clinical Excellence Across Multiple Senior Living Communities

Living Care Lifestyles is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Regional Quality Assurance Nurse Consultant, providing clinical leadership, quality oversight, and operational support across our assisted living and memory care communities.

This unique position is ideal for an experienced nurse leader who enjoys improving clinical systems, mentoring nursing teams, conducting quality reviews, and helping communities provide exceptional resident care.

Based in the Puget Sound area, this role supports communities in Western Washington with  travel to our California communities approximately every other month.

What You'll Do

As the Regional Quality Assurance Nurse Consultant, you'll partner with Executive Directors, Health & Wellness Directors, and operational leadership to promote regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and consistent quality standards across multiple communities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct clinical quality audits and comprehensive chart reviews to evaluate regulatory compliance, documentation, and quality of resident care.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to Health & Wellness Directors and nursing leaders.
  • Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and partner with community leadership to implement corrective action plans.
  • Conduct mock regulatory surveys and assist communities with survey readiness and successful outcomes.
  • Review assessments, care plans, falls, wounds, medication management, resident incidents, and other quality indicators.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for resident care decisions, including discharge planning and transitions to higher levels of care.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new Health & Wellness Directors and nursing leaders.
  • Support recruitment and selection of nurse management candidates.
  • Recommend and help implement best practices, policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with temporary clinical leadership coverage during vacancies or periods of increased operational need.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to promote consistent clinical practices across all communities.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a collaborative nurse leader who enjoys mentoring others and improving systems while maintaining a resident-centered approach to care.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Five or more years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior housing.
  • Strong understanding of state regulatory requirements, survey processes, and clinical compliance.
  • Experience conducting audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical education.
  • Excellent assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic clinical documentation systems.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
