Assistant Bookkeeper (Part-Time)

Role Overview
 
FourPoint Business is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assistant Bookkeeper to support our growing bookkeeping division. This is an entry-level role focused on accurate and timely transaction management, classification, and reconciliations using QuickBooks Online. 
This position works under the supervision of the Director of Bookkeeping, with all work reviewed prior to client delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, values precision, and consistently follows established processes. 
 

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Enter, classify, and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks Online  
  • Perform weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations  
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and categorization  
  • Maintain organized and accurate digital financial records  
  • Support the Director of Bookkeeping with preparation for client reports and deliverables  
  • Utilize Teamwork.com to manage tasks, deadlines, and workflow progress  
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, missing information, or unusual financial activity to leadership  
 

Required Qualifications
 
  • 1+ year of experience using QuickBooks (business or firm setting preferred)  
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and standard bookkeeping practices  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets  
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry  
  • Ability to follow structured processes consistently and reliably
