Job description

PART TIME MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Medical Assistants (MA) will partner with the providers of Chicago ENT to ensure prompt, accurate, and compassionate patient care. Chicago ENT is seeking experienced MA candidates interested in growing their skills in this unique and comprehensive ENT care setting. This role will report to the MA Lead and be required to travel to other clinics. This is a part-time role with a schedule of Monday-Friday, and the hours are based on the business' needs. Occasional travel to Skokie, Lakeview, Halsted, and Peterson practices is required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
  • The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
  • The Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.
  • The Medical Assistant will be cross trained over time in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, Cosmetic, CT, and Triage.
  • The Medical Assistant must be available to work scheduled hours travel between all office locations where their assigned provider hosts clinic.
  • The MA Lead will assign a weekly schedule not to exceed 25 hours
  • The schedule may be between the hours of 7AM to 7PM
  • The schedule may be 5 days including Monday to Friday
  • The Medical Assistant must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 30 pounds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
  • Previous surgical experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Preferred: Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT

$18-22.00 + Travel Reimbursement
