Our MEP group in the Hartford, CT office is looking for a mechanical engineering intern, with an interest in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) fields, to work on various projects.  This position will afford the successful student an opportunity to explore a wide variety of MEP work.  Candidates with a strong desire to work in a dynamic consulting environment are encouraged to submit their resume.
Our internship program is a 12-week paid summer program.  We offer in-depth work experience on real client projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.  The position is full-time Monday through Friday. 
  • Project Variety: Work on diverse projects, including commercial building HVAC design.
  • Technical Calculations: Perform pressure drop calculations, duct sizing, and pipe sizing.
  • Field Surveys: Conduct field survey work to gather necessary data for design projects.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a skilled team of engineers and technicians.
  • Hands-On Design Experience: Engage in hands-on design of HVAC systems.
  • AutoCAD Proficiency: Prepare equipment layouts and designs using AutoCAD.
  • Cost Estimation: Participate in cost estimating for various mechanical systems.
  • Construction Administration: Assist in construction administration tasks, ensuring proper implementation of designs.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Class project work related to MEP fields preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment
