Utility Coordination Specialist (Owner's Representative / Public Infrastructure Projects) Part Time 2-3 days in office in Casa Grande, Az.

We are seeking an experienced Utility Coordination Specialist to serve as a consultant, to support the planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure and capital improvement projects within a growing municipal environment. This position will work closely with project teams, utility providers, contractors, engineers, and public agency staff to proactively identify and resolve utility-related issues that may impact project delivery. This is a part time 20-24 hours a week, in office position in Casa Grande, Az. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for utility coordination activities associated with transportation, utility, and public works projects.
  • Coordinate with utility providers including electric, gas, telecommunications, water, and wastewater agencies throughout project development and construction.
  • Identify existing and potential utility conflicts during project planning, design review, and construction phases.
  • Track utility relocations and coordination efforts to support project schedules and minimize delays.
  • Review engineering plans, development submittals, and construction documents for utility impacts and right-of-way considerations.
  • Facilitate utility coordination meetings and maintain documentation, action items, and project records.
  • Assist with right-of-way coordination activities, permits, easements, access agreements, and utility clearances.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and agency staff to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of utility correspondence, relocation schedules, and coordination milestones.
  • Support the development of utility agreements, cost estimates, and related project documentation.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating utility relocations and utility conflicts on municipal, transportation, water/wastewater, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of utility permitting, right-of-way requirements, and infrastructure construction practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively among multiple organizations.
  • Ability to independently manage coordination efforts and prioritize multiple active projects.
  • Experience working with public agencies, engineering consultants, contractors, and utility providers is highly desirable.

Work Environment

This position will provide direct support to a public agency capital improvement program and requires a regular on-site presence within the project area. The selected professional will work closely with agency engineering and public works staff while supporting a variety of infrastructure projects through planning, design, and construction coordination.

Physical Requirements:

Stationary Desk Position: Must be able to remain in a stationary seated or standing position at a desk for extended periods (typically 50% to 75% of the shift). May require being in field on occasion.

Computer Use: Constant and repetitive use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other standard office productivity machinery
