Schedule: Part Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Programming Coordinator for our Memory Care community in Creve Coeur, Missouri. This full-time position plays a vital role in creating and leading engaging programs that maximize resident participation and significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals in our memory care community. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop meaningful activities and experiences that celebrate each resident's unique interests and abilities while fostering connection, purpose, and joy.

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement purposeful, resident-centered activities and events that provide cultural, intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and recreational opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a balanced monthly program calendar in collaboration with the Director of Entertainment & Programming, ensuring diverse and engaging offerings
  • Actively recruit and coordinate with performers, instructors, and community organizations to provide enriching entertainment and educational experiences for residents
  • Build positive relationships with residents and use personalized interactions to encourage participation and engagement in programs
  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to residents during activities, including helping with transportation and mobility as needed
  • Assist residents in entering and exiting community vehicles for outings and excursions within established community guidelines
  • Maintain detailed records of program attendance, resident feedback, and activity outcomes to continuously improve programming
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding program offerings and resident participation
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to resident needs and preferences
  • Support the overall mission of creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where all residents feel valued and engaged
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
  • Proficiency with Internet resources and demonstrated ability to use current technology effectively
  • Previous experience as a Programming Coordinator, Activities Coordinator, or in a similar role working with older adults (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents and team members
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple programs and timelines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy when working with individuals experiencing cognitive decline or memory loss
  • Physical capability to assist residents with mobility and participate actively in program activities
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including availability to work Friday through Monday as required
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and open-minded approach to creating enriching lifestyle experiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate program records and documentation
  • Passion for enhancing the lives of older adults and commitment to person-centered care principles
