JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Energy Institute within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking applicants for part-time research support.
This positionwill be involved in research on the sustainable extraction of critical minerals and materials from primary and secondary sources to address the US needs for these materials. The candidate is expected to help transport water using a rental tanker rented by PSU from the Phillipsburg area acid mine drainage sites to the UP Campus. The candidate will also be involved in the operation of the facility to maintain the filters, pumps, and plumbing (PVC) and in various experiments (physical and chemical separation) at the 10,000 gallons per day pilot-scale facility on PSU UP campus.
Candidates must have (and maintain) a valid PA license.
Compensation:
The starting rate for this position is $20.00/hour
Estimated Hours Per Week: 25/week until December 31, 2025
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
