What role you will play in our team

The Energy Storage Solutions Platform Manager will be responsible for identifying, incubating, and developing opportunities to create new businesses in the energy storage industry market (beyond graphite and lithium) while capitalizing on ExxonMobil’s strengths.  Energy storage includes battery components, new energy storage technologies, and new business models for ExxonMobil’s market participation in large scale stationary storage as well as mobility applications.

What you will do
  • Lead and develop a team of market developers, business developers, strategic marketing professionals, technology developers, and early stage M&A advisors.
  • Develop investment opportunities and propose strategy and investment cases to senior management
  • Oversee development and execution of marketing and channel strategies and market development growth initiatives
  • Provide business direction to internal research and development programs
  • Develop M&A strategies and identify potential targets
  • Build relationships with external collaboration partners
About you

Skills & Qualification:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic commercial roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Proven track record in developing new businesses with M&A experience
  • Strong knowledge of energy storage markets and technologies (power markets, grid infrastructure, and renewable integration challenges)
  • Strategic marketing and leadership experience identifying and adopting new technologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to bring cross-functional teams together to win.
  • Willingness to travel internationally
