We’re looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to help shape the brains behind our next generation of wireless audio products. You’ll take projects from big idea beautiful design productionready reality, working alongside a crew of talented engineers who love solving hard problems and building seriously cool tech.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing FPGA and SoC magic that powers cuttingedge wireless audio
  • Bringing concepts to life - from whiteboard scribbles to shipping hardware
  • Validating, integrating, and finetuning digital designs that make our products sing
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional wizards across hardware, software, and systems

This position will be hybrid based out of our Niles, IL HQ! 


· Design efficient high-speed digital logic modules for control, status, and processing using VHDL and Verilog.

· Integrate cutting-edge wireless and audio processing subsystems onto hardware.

· Use Python for modeling, scripting, and various aspects of the design process.

· Utilize AI tools for efficient code development, troubleshooting, and automation

· Validate functionality using RTL simulation tools.

· Specify FPGA design constraints (pinouts, IO types, timing constraints, &c.).

· Coordinate with other disciplines to define and integrate processing systems

· Execute FPGA toolchain (synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis) to produce bitstreams.

· Advocate for automation and repeatability by leveraging scripting (e.g., python).

· Maintain proper revision control utilizing git.

· Integrate, capture, and analyze product telemetry from FPGAs


· Bachelor’s degree in EE or related field

· Minimum of 5 years of experience

· Comprehensive knowledge of FPGA logic design and simulation/validation tools

· Experience with Versal, Zynq, and other embedded processor architectures

· Experience with implementation tradeoffs to meet resource, processing and timing constraints.

· Experience with Verilog/VHDL

· Experience with Python

· Experience with version control systems such as git

· Familiarity with digital signal processing, wireless concepts, and audio concepts

· Comfortable with Linux environment

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industry’s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 to $181,000. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
