Leading Edge Learning Center, LLC is a certified supplemental Education Service Provider that was established in June 2004. Our goal is to provide a chance for achievement to children and adults who are struggling academically and tools for success for children looking to gain an academic advantage in school and in the workplace. Services provided by Leading Edge Learning Center include academic instruction, student assistance, Saturday homework help, a variety of enrichment programs for youth, and professional development courses for adults. Academic Coach: Responsible for facilitating student academic growth and utilizing effective instructional strategies. Academic Coaches will provide students with opportunities and necessary skills for progressive academic success.

Job Information: We are looking for part time Academic Coaches to assist our company in tutoring with Colton Joint Unified School District, specifically with Ruth Grimes Elementary School. This position is part time and in person. We are looking for someone willing to work 5-15 hours a week, sometimes more depending on need. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply. The position requires you are available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of each week from 1:45-3:30pm.

Requirements:

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled in college or have college degree/credential. Multiple schedules available.Eligibility for continued assignment is contingent upon instructorโ€™s demonstration of optimal performance of job duties and professional consistency for a 90-day period and successful evaluation.

Mandatory Pre-employment Requirements:

? TB Clearance (From within the last three years)

? DOJ Livescan Clearance (Leading Edge Specific)

Responsibilities:

? Arrive on time for your tutoring appointments.

? Keep your time sheets updated daily and submit on time.

? Competency and knowledge in academic subject(s).

? Develop grade appropriate lessons plans.

? Multitask and tutor 10+ students at a time.

? Assess your students appropriately after each session.

? Computer/software literate in Microsoft Word, Excel & internet programs/applications.

? Demonstrate effective verbal communication, active listening skills, and collaboration with students, parents, and co-workers.

? Maintain a safe environment.

? Clean up your area after your session ends.

? Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability.

? Project enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to help students learn.

? Monitor studentsโ€™ results and complete progress reports on time.

? Ensure parent signatures are received after every session.

? Other duties as assigned.
