DCS Corp seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Ordnance Electrical Technician Level III to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.

The Ordnance Electrical Technician Level III will support the Ordnance Electronics Lab under the Naval Test Wing Atlantic, a vital component of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). In this part-time role with flexible work hours, you will perform critical modification, instrumentation, and configuration of BRU-32 equipment to enable essential weapons testing across multiple platforms, primarily focusing on the F/A-18. This position is fully on-site at NAS Patuxent River.

Essential Job Functions:

Modify BRU-32 bomb ejector racks with specialized instrumentation equipment to support critical weapons testing on multiple aircraft platforms.

Perform the installation and integration of instrumentation on other armament systems in support of Naval Test Wing Atlantic test plans.

Remove instrumentation equipment from BRU-32 units and restore them to standard Navy fleet configurations upon completion of testing.

Collaborate with the Ordnance Electronics Lab within the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to ensure high-quality technical support.

Document modification procedures and support testing validation efforts for ordnance systems on-site at NAS Patuxent River.

Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance on modified BRU-32 equipment and associated electronics.

Train other OE Lab Ordnance Electrical Technicians in the modification of BRU-32 with instrumentation.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

An active Secret security clearance is required.

A high school diploma plus 7 years of experience or an associate degree/technical schooling plus 5 years of experience is required.ย 

Successful completion of Navy course C-646-3118, Strike Intermediate Armament Maintenance.

Hold Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 6802.

Experience installing and removing internal BRU-32B/A instrumentation.

Possess the physical ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly in an aviation hangar environment.

Desired Skills:

Experience working with military airworthiness documentation and Interim Flight Clearances (IFCs).

Experience developing and conducting tests on ordnance electronics equipment.

Experience preparing clear instructional guides for repairing equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds to handle and install ordnance equipment.

Needs to occasionally crawl, bend, or stand for extended periods while working on aircraft systems.

Frequently communicates with co-workers and engineering teams to coordinate testing procedures.
