FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I/II
Salary Range: $41,454.40 - $68,140.80

JOB DESCRIPTION
Greenville Utilities Commission is searching for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Facilities Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for performing the work scheduled in the maintenance and repair of GUC facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, working in maintenance and repairs in the areas of: Carpentry, Masonry, Roofing, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC Mechanical, Access Control, and Grounds. The successful candidate will assist the Facilities Systems Supervisor and/or Facilities Controls Technician with coordinating and inspecting the work of outside contractors, execution of preventative maintenance schedules, maintaining maintenance files and performing the close-out of work requests. The individual will work as technician, performing duties independently while maintaining buildings, facilities, and grounds, as well as occasionally assisting with landscaping and seasonal snow and ice removal duties as required.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I
Anticipated Hiring Range: $41,454.40 - $52,852.80
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Three (3) years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff as well as the general public.
  • Working knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment utilized in the building maintenance field.
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. is required.
  • North Carolina Driver's License.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II
Anticipated Hiring Range: $43,950.40 - $56,056.00
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff as well as the general public.
  • Working knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment utilized in the building maintenance field.
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. is required.
  • North Carolina Driver's License.

Normal work schedule is Tuesday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
