Job description

Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Board Member to provide guidance, industry insight, and governance support to a growing organization operating within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector. This is a part-time advisory position requiring approximately 1–2 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring extensive BPO industry knowledge, strong leadership experience, and the ability to provide objective guidance on business growth, operational strategy, and organizational development.

This role is best suited for a seasoned executive or industry leader who can leverage their expertise and network to support long-term business objectives while maintaining independence from competing BPO organizations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advisory
    • Provide guidance on business strategy, growth initiatives, and market positioning.
    • Offer insight into industry trends, opportunities, and potential challenges within the BPO sector.
    • Advise leadership on operational best practices and organizational development.
  • Governance & Oversight
    • Participate in scheduled board meetings and strategic discussions.
    • Review business performance, objectives, and key initiatives.
    • Provide independent recommendations to support sound business decision-making.
  • Industry Expertise
    • Share knowledge of BPO operations, client acquisition, service delivery, and workforce management.
    • Leverage industry experience to identify opportunities for process improvement and scalability.
    • Support leadership with strategic introductions and networking opportunities where appropriate.
  • Business Growth Support
    • Advise on market expansion strategies and operational efficiencies.
    • Provide feedback on major business initiatives and investments.
    • Assist in evaluating risks and opportunities associated with business growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience
    • Extensive experience within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.
    • Previous executive leadership, board-level, advisory, or senior management experience preferred.
    • Strong understanding of BPO operations, delivery models, client management, and business development.
  • Industry Background
    • Demonstrated success helping organizations grow, scale, or improve operational performance.
    • Strong professional network within the outsourcing, customer support, back-office services, or related industries.
  • Professional Skills
    • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to provide objective, independent advice and recommendations.
    • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Additional Requirements
  • Must not currently be employed by, serve on the board of, or have an active leadership role within another Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) organization.
  • Ability to commit approximately 1–2 hours per week for board meetings, strategic discussions, and advisory support.
  • Comfortable working in a remote advisory capacity.
