Local Marketing Coordinator

Broward County Area | Part-Time | Starting at $18/hour | 15-20 hours per week with opportunities for growth

Are you a creative, outgoing, and highly motivated marketing professional looking for a hands-on role? Aqua-Tots Swim Schools is seeking a Local Marketing Coordinator (LMC) to lead community outreach, drive engagement, and manage our social media presence. This role requires strong initiative, leadership skills, and the ability to confidently interact with new people daily-whether it's working with children during water safety presentations, engaging with parents, or capturing in-class moments for social media.

Key Responsibilities: Community Outreach & Events:

  • Visit Aqua-Tots locations to support in-school marketing efforts, engage with staff, and ensure brand consistency.
  • Lead Water Safety Presentations at childcare centers, schools, libraries, and community centers. You must be comfortable speaking in front of both children and adults.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and community organizations for sponsorships and collaborations.
  • Coordinate & attend local events (expos, fairs, school functions) to promote Aqua-Tots and engage with potential customers.
  • Oversee promotional material distribution to outreach locations and partner businesses.
  • Assist with seasonal promotions and sponsorship activations to support enrollment growth.

Social Media & Content Creation:

  • Manage and execute a social media content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) with planned and real-time content.
  • Create, capture, and edit video & photo content (including interviews with kids in classes and parents) that aligns with Aqua-Tots' brand and mission.
  • Engage with online communities-responding to comments, messages, and reviews to build a strong brand presence.
  • Monitor trends and emerging social platforms to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Update & manage digital signage content across Aqua-Tots locations.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative without frequent oversight.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups, especially children, educators, and parents.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and trends.
  • Reliable transportation & ability to travel regularly to multiple locations (mileage reimbursement available).
  • Flexibility With Schedule as evenings and weekends will at times be required for content creation and event presence.
  • Basic video editing & graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar) are a plus!
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage marketing for Aqua-Tots Swim Schools in Davie and Fort Lauderdale - with the possibility of additional Southern Florida locations in the future
  • Schedule and maintain our social media calendar
  • Create and gather unique content for social media
  • Manage several social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
  • Implement influencer campaigns and collaborations within the community
  • Brainstorm new ideas to implement for new marketing campaigns
  • Plan and lead several in-school events throughout the year
  • Have an understanding of our digital ad strategy, sales funnels and the customer journey
  • Attend local events in our communities
