Could you be our next Critical Care Pharmacist at Paoli Hospital?

  • Make an Impact! Make an impact on each patient who receives care in Main Line Health! Main Line Health is seeking a Critical Care Pharmacist for our PGY1 program. This role will provide patient care to our ICU/trauma patient population while leading the development and mentorship of the pharmacy residents. You will also assist in implementing and sustaining ongoing services related to clinical drug use and QA services. Use your leadership skills in assisting in coordinating ongoing development and restructuring of the professional practice of pharmacy within MLHS by defining and conducting educational programs for professional staff. Additional duties will included: aid in assessing needs across the system and involve necessary persons in total patient care concepts as pertinent to optimization of drug use. Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with necessary healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize drug therapy. Routinely participate in patient care rounds, either with other healthcare providers or independently, and other pharmacy related projects.

Position: Critical Care Pharmacist
Shift: Day shift
Experience: 
1. Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience with a Pharm.D. degree. PGY1 required PGY2 or equivalent preferred
2. Hospital pharmacy experience includes IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling.
3. Satisfactory completion of two of the following, as assessed by Clinical Coordinator or Pharmacy Manager:
4. Drug information newsletter article, P&T drug monograph, formulary class review, clerkship preceptorship, drug information lecture or another equivalent project. 
5. Work history with good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work and attendance is required.


Education: 
1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. 
2. Clinical clerkships, residencies and specialties in hospital-oriented environments preferred.
Licensures/Certifications: 
1. A current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
2. Recent graduates and pharmacists eligible for reciprocity will be considered as long as licensure is complete before the end of the 90-day probationary period.
