Schedule Options:

     Swing Shift: 3pm -1130pm Friday and Saturday

     Day Shift: 7am - 330pm Sunday - Wednesday OR Thursday - Saturday

Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Medication Technician to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

Scope

Provide residential medication monitoring services to mentally ill clients.  Facilitate the community adjustment of clients at high risk for institutionalization.  Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.             

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Park Place residents’ self-administration of medications. 
  • Facilitate continuity of care.
  • Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or Medication Administration Record (MAR) , including progress notes as needed.
  • Coordinate with the medical team to ensure medications are ordered and filled.
  • Provide services and activities for residential clients that enhance self-care skills, independence, social skills, and self-reliance.
  • Participate in meetings and activities as required.
  • Work a schedule as needed to support 24/7 nursing services
  • In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

  • Develops and maintains a self-care plan, seeks supervision when needed and recognizes signs of burnout.
  • Ability to complete paperwork and documentation within required timeframes, meeting content requirements.
  • Ability to apply appropriate codes to patient care services as outlined by program guidelines.
  • Compliance with competencies determined by Nursing Director.
  • Participate in competency trainings identified by Human Resources and assigned program.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication.
  • Adhere to program’s infection control policy and protocols.
  • Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput.
  • Adhere to the incident reporting process. 
  • High school graduate or GED.  
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
  • If role requires driving, must have valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and working vehicle.
