Job description

Part-Time Dog Walker & Pet Sitter

Cave Creek  |  Anthem  |  North Phoenix

Bonded  |  Insured  |  Double Certified  |  Team-Based Care

We are specifically looking for someone with REAL schedule flexibility,

not someone trying to squeeze pet care around an already packed life.

Pawfect Pet Sitter is actively hiring dependable pet sitters and dog walkers who live in Anthem or very close by. We are specifically growing coverage in the Anthem area and need someone with real schedule flexibility who can serve local pet parents mornings, middays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

We are growing our Pet Care Team and hiring a dependable, confident, and professional dog walker and pet sitter to join us.

This is not a casual gig. This is real work with real expectations, real training, and real support from a company that has your back. If you take responsibility seriously and want flexible part-time work you can count on, keep reading.

What You Will Do
  • Provide daily check-ins, dog walks, and pet sitting visits in clients’ homes
  • Care for pups of all sizes, kitties, and other household pets following detailed care instructions
  • Send visit summaries with photos and notes to clients after every visit
  • Communicate quickly and clearly with the office team and your assigned clients
  • Use scheduling apps, visit tracking tools, and your smartphone for all communication and logging
  • Represent Pawfect Pet Sitter professionally in every client’s home
  • Complete shadow training with an experienced team member before going solo
  • Earn Pet CPR Certification within your first 3 months (provided by us)
Availability Required

You must be available for at least 2 of the following 3 daily time blocks:

Morning Block

7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Midday Block

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Evening Block

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

You must also be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Our fur babies need care every day, and our clients depend on us to be there when it matters most. This is not a Monday-through-Friday convenience job.

Requirements
  • Live within 10 miles of Anthem, or the surrounding service area
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have a smartphone with unlimited data
  • Be confident handling large dogs, small dogs, and cats
  • Be comfortable using scheduling apps, texting clients, uploading visit photos, and learning new tools quickly
  • Be dependable, responsive, and able to work independently in clients’ homes
  • Pass a background check
Who Does Well in This Role

Retirees, semi-retired professionals, empty nesters, and adults with truly flexible schedules tend to thrive on this team. Recent graduates can be a great fit, but only if your schedule is genuinely open and stable.

The people who do well here are calm, capable, local, quick to respond, and available when pet care actually happens. They like structure, independence, and knowing exactly what is expected. They do not need to be chased.

This Role Is Not a Fit If
  • You are looking for occasional side work only
  • You have limited daytime availability or cannot work weekends and holidays
  • You are slow to respond to messages
  • You are uncomfortable with large dogs or phone-based systems
  • You are trying to squeeze pet care around an already packed schedule
What We Offer
  • Paid training and shadow visits with an experienced team member before you go solo
  • Pet CPR Certification provided at no cost
  • A backup team so you are never left hanging on coverage
  • Clear systems, tools, and support so you always know what to do
  • Growth path from Pet Sitter Pro to Area Manager for those who want to advance
  • Workers’ compensation coverage
  • A team that genuinely cares about doing great work for pets and their families

We never cancel. We always show up. That starts with who we hire.

If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
