Job description

The Spa Host/Hostess is responsible for providing exceptional service to spa guests at reception, concierge and reservations. This position requires greeting of all guests, assisting with reservations and checking in and out of both the spa and teen spa. The hostess will either be servicing the guests in front of house or selling spa services in the reservations office.
Responsibilities :
  • Properly open and close spa each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments
  • Review guest appointment/schedules as needed
  • Acknowledge and greet Guests who enter and leave the spa facilities
  • Provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, facility features and hours of operation
  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency
  • Maintain a Spa Desk Bank
  • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker/facility area
  • Actively promote spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail as well as programs and promotions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area
  • Handle guests questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Provide accurate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Regularly attend/participate in and support ongoing training to continue to be knowledgeable about current spa trends

Basic Qualifications :
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi task
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent guest service skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Follows Open/Close procedures including, but not limited to counting out and balancing of funds at beginning and end of shifts
  • Adhere to loss prevention guidelines
  • Follow stock replenishment procedures
  • Prior retail and/or sales experience helpful; comfortable with suggestive selling
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior concierge or reservation sales experience preferred – familiarity with spa products/services and terminology helpful
  • Sales training preferred
  • Computer knowledge and ease of use
  • Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred

Additional Information :
SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Part-Time: Must be available for a minimum of 3 full days of availability, including one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during training.
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
