Job description

Position: Part-Time

Dial is the place to love the way you work. Our team members get the opportunity to serve and learn from some of the most knowledgeable seniors. Our residents will become your family as we seek to infuse happiness into the lives of those we serve daily. You will make a difference at Dial by not only adding years to resident's lives, but life to their years.


Position Overview 

The position is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks to maintain a pristine and welcoming community environment for our residents. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Clean resident apartments, restrooms, and community common areas following established schedule. 
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and disinfect surfaces and floors. 
  • Empty trash containers on a regularly scheduled basis and as needed.
  • Clean interior windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors. 
  • Maintain equipment and storage areas in a clean and organized manner. 
  • Follow chemical safety protocol and infection control procedures. 
  • Ensure a safe living environment for residents, while respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times. 
  • Report concerns or observation about resident unusual behavior to supervisor.
  • Report needed supplies and/or equipment repairs to supervisor.
  • Assist with apartment-flips or specialized cleaning tasks, as assigned. 
  • Respond to requests from residents and staff promptly and efficiently.
  • Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education, Experience and Other Requirements 

  • Must be age 18 or older

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions 
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time
  • Lifting arms above head to reach and clean shelves, ledges, and windows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with general cleaning procedures
  • Willingness to learn and help others
  • Enjoyment in working with older adults
  • High school graduate or GED
