Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing First Article Inspector (FAI) - Part Time

Saturday-Sunday only (part time)

Location: South Phoenix - 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Shift: Part time weekend (Sat-Sun 6am - 2:30pm)

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Requirements:

  • Due to the small weekend shift staff, Minimum 5 years Aerospace experience with First Article/First Piece Inspection is required
  • Strong Hexagon operational CMM experience required
  • Experience with dial bore gages, Mueller gages, indicator mics, Sunnen gages etc.
  • Must be very knowledgeable of GD&T
  • Experience in fast Paced Environment
  • Self-starter and team oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and sit or stand up to 8 hours per day
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting to inspect complex geometries on parts.
  • Ability to work in an environment with constant industrial noise (machinery, air compressors) and changing temperatures.
  • Fine motor skills to calibrate and manipulate precise hand tools (Mueller gages, micrometers, indicators).
  • Strong depth perception to safely operate CMM probes and handle delicate aerospace components.
  • Pass vision standards required by AS9100
