Job Description Facility Operations Eagan Civic Arena Temporary/Seasonal, Not Benefit Eligible, Part-Time Pay: $20.923 Join the Civic Arena Staff as a Facility Operator. Step into a rewarding role as a Facility Operator at the Civic Arena, where your contributions will help create memorable experiences for our community. In this upbeat position, you'll be responsible for maintaining the arena's security, cleanliness, and equipment, all while gaining valuable skills in ice operations

This position requires indoor and outdoor work, under all types of weather conditions. Scheduled shifts include evenings and weekends; up to 24 hours per Week Position Open Until Filled Essential Position Functions Responsible for maintaining order in the Civic Arena Responsible for prevention of damage to the building and equipment, such as light fixtures, doors, windows, vending machines, pay phones Responsible for checking on the ice making machinery and taking log readings at the appropriate times Drive the resurfacer during the scheduled ice making times In charge of cleanliness of the Civic Arena during assigned shift and at the end of night Assist concession stand worker in any possible way such as getting supplies, extra change and repair of machinery Provide cleaning and building supplies request forms to supervisor Pick up trash outside the building and grounds Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Valid driver's license Things that may help you be successful in this role Previous experience and knowledge of mechanical equipment and repairs Previous experience sharpening skates Two years' experience driving a resurfacer Working Conditions and Expectations: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear and write Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision and peripheral vision Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds The employee may occasionally climb a ladder, operate a lift, and operate a vehicle with multiple hand and foot operations Must have the ability to walk on the ice surface Must be able to perform all essential position functions under the working conditions as described Must be self-motivated and a hard-working individual Located in the Twin Cities metro area, Eagan is home to about 68,000 people.
