Requirements
Position Overview
The Junior Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of running the varsity-level program. This role provides instruction, motivation, and mentorship to student-athletes, ensuring a positive and competitive experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Coach with practices, game preparation, and in-game management.
  • Provide individualized coaching and support to players.
  • Help reinforce team rules, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Monitor academic progress and AIA eligibility.
  • Support program logistics including equipment, scheduling, and communication.
  • Step into leadership responsibilities when the Head Coach is unavailable.

Qualifications
  • Prior coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the sport and AIA standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Fingerprint clearance card (required).
