Looking to grow your retail career? At Shoe Carnival, we're more than just a shoe store-we're a place where energy, leadership, and teamwork come together to create a fun and rewarding shopping experience. Shoe Carnival is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Store Lead to oversee an area of the store. This role is perfect for someone ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership position.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead a department (such as Women's, Men's and Children's departments) and support overall store standards
  • Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling
  • Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed
  • Organize merchandise, displays, and help with truck unloading and floor moves
  • Promote current sales and programs
  • Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example
  • At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred)
  • Ability to learn and operate the POS system
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts
  • Comfortable bending, squatting, and reaching for merchandise
  • Able to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment
