Position title: Lifeguard (LG)

Winter Break Schedule: December 9th through January 12th

Hours for position:

Mon - Fri: 6am - 7:30pm

Sat: 8am - 5pm

Sun: 12pm - 5pm

Different shifts available

Salary: Minimum salary hourly rate - $17.00

Summary: Maintain a safe natatorium environment by enforcing pool and spa policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Certifications.
  • Primarily unsupervised work, which requires alert, responsible, and mature lifeguards.
  • Positive attitude, with an emphasis on customer service.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and enforce natatorium regulations, as well as Whitten UC Pool policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of risk management and emergency procedures for lifesaving.
  • Communicate with swimmers.
  • Knowledge of swim programs and pool activities.
  • Train new employees as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Training And Skills Required:

  • Attend semester inservice training.
  • Thorough knowledge of natatorium operations and proper enforcement of policies and procedures.
