Job description

Janitor
Fortis Industries is interviewing for a Government Contract Part-Time Janitor for our contract in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Duties:
  • Clean and keep in an orderly condition:
    • Working areas and washrooms
    • Premises of an office and other establishment.
  • Involves a combination of the following;
    • Sweeping
    • Mopping
    • Scrubbing
    • Polishing floors
    • Removing chips
    • Trash and other refuse
    • Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
    • Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
    • Providing supplies
    • Minor maintenance services
    • Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
    • The position also requires disinfecting of high touch areas (door knobs, desktops, etc).
  • The ability to follow directions is vital to this position; the chosen applicant must be able to comprehend the requirements of the position and to collaborate either with co-workers or the Leadership Team when necessary.
  • The Custodian’s job is physically demanding due to the need to move, carry and store various items and clean, dust, and wipe rooms full of furniture as well as floors and carpets. The successful application must have the physical capacity to perform these types of tasks.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience is preferred.
  • Good communication skills
Required:
  • Must pass agency and federal background checks, Federal drug screen, and confirmation that you are authorized to work in the US.
  • High School Diploma
Pay:
  • $17.75 plus
  • $5.09 Health and Welfare (up to 40 hours) benefit allowance, which may be taken as additional hourly pay resulting in an effective wage of $22.84.
Schedule:
  • 6 hours per day
    • Monday Through Friday (9PM - 3AM) (Shifts may be adjusted depending on business needs)
