Part-Time Optometrist (OD) – Peoria, IL

Location: Peoria, IL

Schedule: 1 weekday per month (Monday–Thursday)

About The Opportunity

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care in a structured, outpatient clinic-based environment in Peoria, IL.

This is a clinic-based role where you'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations.

If you're looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency—without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice—this opportunity offers flexibility and professional support.

The Setting

This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model.

  • Clinic staff are on-site full time
  • Organized scheduling and patient flow
  • Coordinated, team-based care environment
  • Value-based model focused on seniors

We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics—allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
  • Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
  • Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
What Makes This Different

This is not a high-volume retail model.

Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location.

We emphasize:

  • Quality over volume
  • Consistency and predictability
  • Administrative and logistical support
  • Long-term clinic partnerships
  • Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
  • Active Illinois optometry license
  • Experience treating senior populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments
Schedule
  • 1 weekday per month (Monday–Thursday)
  • Typical hours: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • No nights
  • No weekends
  • No billing or administrative responsibilities

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is a family-founded healthcare organization with over 25 years of experience increasing access to care for senior and underserved communities across 20+ states.
