Job Description
The Harlem Bee seeks a part-time or full-time intern to assist with marketing, advertising, public relations, research and administrative support for our Marketing department. The intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in marketing program administration, public relations, brand positioning and management. This position reports to the Managing Editor and will be based in New York City. The position comes with a small stipend over 6 months.
Requirements
Experience developing and executing marketing strategy
Experience in advertiser acquisition, market research and public relations,
Updating databases and other administrative support as needed
Effectively using social media to disseminate The Harlem Bee's work
Communicating via secure online platforms, email and phone with The Harlem Bee staff, consultants and partners
Other related duties
Qualifications
Degree in marketing, public relations or business management. Current college or graduate students are also eligible.
Experience crafting and executing time-sensitive marketing strategy.
Experience in advertising customer acquisition
Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is required.
Proficiency with data processing software, including Excel, and producing corporate presentations using PowerPoint and similar software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Harlem Bee team.
Must reside in New York City, preferably in Harlem, Inwood or Washington Heights
