Location: Columbia Falls, MT

Job Type: Part-Time (20-30 Hours Weekly)

Schedule:Monday-Saturday, including rotating Saturday shifts at Sykes Pharmacy in Kalispell, MT


Sykes Pharmacy is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Pharmacy Retail Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations and deliver exceptional patient care. This role combines retail customer service, cashiering, prescription pickup assistance, inventory management, and administrative support in a community pharmacy setting.


The ideal candidate will have experience in retail, customer service, cashiering, healthcare support, or pharmacy operations and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and patient satisfaction are priorities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients and pharmacy customers.
  • Process prescription pickups accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and payment processing equipment.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with general inquiries.
  • Accept prescriptions and gather required information for pharmacist review.
  • Assist customers with over-the-counter(OTC) medications and healthcare products.
  • Stock shelves, receive inventory shipments, and maintain organized displays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify pharmacists of low-stock items.
  • Assist with medication will-call management and patient pickup reminders.
  • Prepare prescription delivery totes and organize completed orders.
  • Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and support daily retail operations.
  • Process regulated product sales in compliance with pharmacy policies and state regulations.
  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff with clerical and administrative tasks.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, pharmacy, healthcare, medical office, or cashier roles.
  • Experience operating POS systems, cash registers, or inventory managemetn systems.
  • Pharmacy technician, pharmacy clerk, or pharmacy assistant experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
