Job description

POSITION TITLE: Education Specialist - Temporary HQIM/LIFT (Part-Time) 

LOCATION:  Region 17 Education Service Center

LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Part-Time (Hours will vary)

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide professional development and consulting assistance to Region 17 districts and charter schools according to the tasks within the Teaching and Learning Component, TEA initiatives including High Quality                                                   Instructional Materials, and Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas. The Specialist will contribute carrying out the overall program and services provided by Region 17 Education Service Center.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in area related to position; certification as appropriate. 

 PREFERRED: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university; Leadership Experience

 EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years teaching experience in public or private schools; appropriate experience and training in the field of curriculum and instruction & leadership including instructional, curriculum, staff development, and coordination functions; communication and presentation skills.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Significant demonstrable experience in teaching, administration, or leadership; ability to make informed decisions related to staff development; experience using technology in the classroom; skills presenting to and teaching adult learners; skills in Eduphoria or other data analysis methodology; in-depth computer skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Provide professional development according to the contracts and TEA initiatives/Program Guidelines in the areas of HQIM and LIFT; 2) Complete all required TEA meetings and trainings; 3)Routinely disseminate                                      high-quality information and updates to Region 17 clients

MINIMUM SALARY: P2:$81,750
