To thrive as a Part Time Cyber Security Architect, you need a robust understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and network architecture, typically supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with security frameworks (such as NIST or ISO 27001), cloud platforms, and certifications like CISSP or CISM is highly valued. What does a Part Time Cyber Security Architect do?

A Part Time Cyber Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT systems and networks for an organization, but works fewer hours than a full-time employee. They assess security risks, develop security policies, and recommend solutions to protect sensitive information from cyber threats. Their part-time status allows companies to benefit from their expertise without the commitment or cost of a full-time role, making it ideal for organizations with smaller budgets or specific project needs.

How does a part-time Cyber Security Architect typically collaborate with full-time IT teams to ensure effective security implementation?

As a part-time Cyber Security Architect, you'll often work closely with full-time IT and security teams through scheduled meetings, documentation reviews, and remote consultations.
