Job description

Come work with boat owners and our crew at Port Tarpon Marina! We’re seeking a Part-Time Customer Coordinator for our rapidly evolving marina on the beautiful Anclote River in Tarpon Springs, FL. If you’re a friendly, detail-oriented, people person who enjoys a wide variety of job duties and can multi-task in a fast-paced position, we want you to be the next member of our team!

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinating and prioritizing boat moves among the barns, water, wash racks, and service racks, with the end goal of reducing customer wait times and operating the marina efficiently.

· Providing information to potential customers about rates and availability

· Processing new customers (creating contracts and explaining marina operating procedures)

· Processing monthly customer rent payments

· Entering customer purchases and processing cash, check and credit card payments

· Closing out and balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift

· Checking in outside contractors and verifying insurance coverage

· Answering marina phones, responding to basic inquiries, and when appropriate, transferring callers to office staff

· Maintaining haul-out schedule for the marina’s boat yard

· Conducting inventory of ship’s store merchandise

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

· High school degree

· Availability to work some weekends and summer holidays

· Punctual and self-motivated

· Ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment

· Exceptional customer service skills; able to remain pleasant when stressed

· Excellent cash handling skills

· Basic computer skills

· Must present a neat, professional appearance

Experience as a cashier or in a customer service position is helpful, but not required.

This is a part-time position offering approximately 20 hours per week. Salary is $17-19 an hour. Paid vacation time provided after one year. References required.
