Your primary responsibility will be maintaining cleanliness in the work areas of the kitchen, thoroughly cleaning pots and pans, and other equipment, dishes, glassware, and silverware by using the dish machine.

Westminster Village is seeking Culinary Attendants available to join us on a part-time basis for morning and evening shifts from (6a-10a and 4p-7:30p) working every other weekend, and some holidays. This is a union eligible position. Westminster Village offers a competitive wage scale with an annual increase. The wage scale for the position is $15.45 to $17.45 per hour depending on experience. Job Duties:

  • Cleans and sanitizes pots and pans, dishes, glassware, utensils and silverware (by hand or machine) thoroughly and quickly. Ensures that an adequate supply of clean utensils, pans, etc. is available for kitchen use. Ensure that proper and adequate amounts of hot water, soap, or cleaning compound are used for proper cleansing.
  • Keeps dishwashing and other cleaning equipment clean.
  • Performs various general cleaning and laboring tasks incidental to moving equipment and supplies from one place to another. May remove leftovers from food carts.
  • Keep track of dishwasher temperatures to assure proper cleaning and sanitizing. 
  • Performs general housekeeping functions such as taking out trash, sweeping and mopping main kitchen, health center floors, walk-in refrigerator floors, and stockroom floors.
  • May clean kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in putting all stock away on delivery days, maintaining the dry storeroom and freezer in a neat manner.
  • Responsible for restocking the clean dishes in the Martin Health Center servicing area.
  • Familiarize oneself with location and use of firefighting equipment, alarms, and disaster procedures.
  • Attend educational meetings planned for this position.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
