Part-Time Front Desk, Design, and Digital Marketing Assistant

Location: K. Powers & Company – Needham Heights, MA
Position Type: Part-Time

K. Powers & Company is a luxury flooring and home interiors showroom serving homeowners and interior designers throughout Greater Boston. We specialize in luxury carpets, custom stair runners, handmade rugs, fine flooring, Hunter Douglas window treatments, wallpaper, and fabrics. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and beautiful design.

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized Front Desk, Showroom, and Digital Marketing Assistant to support our sales and marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people in a creative environment, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable with computers and social media.

As the first person our clients meet, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming showroom experience while assisting with administrative and marketing support.

Responsibilities:

Client Experience

  • Welcome clients and visitors with a warm, professional attitude.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Introduce new clients to their assigned design consultant.
  • Provide showroom tours when appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining an attractive, organized showroom.

Administrative & Data Entry

  • Enter new product SKU’s and update price lists in computer system.
  • Enter new client information and check out samples
  • Maintain sample inventory and organize incoming product samples.
  • Assist with filing and general office support.

Sales Support

  • Track borrowed samples and follow up on outstanding sample returns.
  • Order and send out client samples.
  • Check order status.
  • Assist Design Consultants in showroom when required.

Digital Marketing Support

  • Locate product images and information from resource partners.
  • Upload and organize photos and marketing content for social media and website use.
  • Assist with preparing posts, reels, carousels, stories, and captions for social media platforms.
  • Help organize our digital image library.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
  • Creative with a strong eye for attractive photography.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Canva or similar design software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Interest in interior design, decorating, marketing, or home furnishings is a plus.
  • Comfortable using social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.

Schedule

  • Part-time (approximately 25 hours per week)
  • Hours 10-3 M, W, Th, F, Sat
