Description Summary
To provide in-person bilingual (Spanish) instruction for Heartsaver CPR/AED/1st Aid using lecture and hands on instruction/demonstration.
Examples of Duties
Constant (67-100%)
  • Provide Heartsaver CPR/AED/1st Aid training for community, business and industry needs.
  • Possess the ability to organize and present various concepts to a wide range of students with varying background and abilities and adjust teaching techniques accordingly.
  • Set and maintain safety standards and ensure they are followed.

Frequent (34-66%)
  • Maintain & report proper documentation of training records.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and training aids.
  • Request purchases for necessary equipment and materials.

Occasional (10-33%)
  • Maintain instructor certification for Heartsaver CPR/AED/1st Aid.
  • Be willing to travel and transport equipment and training aids to and from instructional sites.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

1. Will represent Iowa Central Community College in a positive manner with prospective, former, and current students, clients, suppliers, and the community we serve.

Qualifications
Current certification as a Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid instructor. Preference given to those also certified to teach BLS.
Proficient in Spanish and English communication.
