At the present time, a vacancy for a part-time Fleet Coordinator exists within the Administrative Services division at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position is based out of the Operations building located in Coatesville, PA.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Fleet Manager. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of our company's fleet of vehicles to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills to manage all aspects of the fleet on a part-time basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Two (2) years of courier experience preferred
  • Experience with fleet management and fleet management software is preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and necessary repairs with third-party vendors to minimize vehicle down time.
2. Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations (i.e., DOT regulations, inspections, licensing, and registration).
3. Documentation & Records: Maintain detailed and accurate records of vehicle servicing, inspections, maintenance, and fuel consumption using fleet management software.
4. Cost & Efficiency Management: Monitor fuel usage and overall fleet expenses, implementing strategies to reduce costs and improv operational efficiency.
5. Driver Coordination: Assist with driver schedules, monitor driver behavior to ensure adherence to company policies, and coordinate any required training.
6. Vehicle Lifecycle: Support the process for vehicle acquisition and eventual disposal, analyzing data to make informed lease versus buy recommendations.
7. Emergency Response: Be available for occasional on-call duties to address fleet-related emergencies or breakdowns in a timely manner.

$25.19/hr - $31.49/hr
