LSSI is hiring a part-time Cook at Shady Oaks. Prepare and serve meals to facility clients in accordance with menu plans, using standardized recipes and in accordance with clients' physician prescribed diets.
Schedule: Monday & Tuesday and every other Saturday & Sunday.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare and serve meals to facility clients in accordance with menu plans, using standardized recipes and in accordance with clients' physician prescribed diets.
  • Following menu plans, prepare a variety of high-quality food in specified quantities, using standardized recipes.
  • Keep work area clean and follow all sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform all duties following safety guidelines and requirements in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Stock needed items; food, drinks, supplies etc.
  • Follow meal plans/menus as determined by the food service manager or program director.
  • Maintain inventory of food, equipment, and supplies in the kitchen area.

Position Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to meet extensive physical requirements of the position.
  • Ability to read & write English adequately to complete required documentation.
  • Ability to communicate adequately with clients, families, & co-workers.
  • Valid Driver's License; preferred but not required.
