Job description

Job Title: Kona Brand Ambassador
Reports To: Sales Director- OP
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Classification: Part-Time
Wage: $20.00 hourly
Job Summary: The Kona Brand Ambassador will promote and raise awareness around Kona Big Wave in retail stores and bars by providing samples, answering questions and discussing the product to support the Southern Crown Partners portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Kona Brewing at unique and varied special events and other activation activities.
  • Create brand awareness and positive impressions of the product by engaging consumers through sampling/distributing product and demonstrating product features.
  • Responsible for ensuring brand talking points are communicated effectively with consumers.
  • Perform all duties associated with event execution.
  • Ability to set-up/take-down, support supply runs, beer pouring, etc.
  • Interface with the public, presenting Banded Peak Brewing Company beers and discussing in detail with guests.
  • Formulate, develop, and maintain strong communication links with customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, hospitality marketing, event marketing, brand promotion, or related fields
  • Experience working with adult beverage brands, promotional staffing, or On-Premise accounts preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet weekly deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident, professional demeanor with strong relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and digital reporting platforms
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of residence while maintaining a good driving record, with reliable transportation.
  • Represents SCP's commitment to excellence through PARTNERS values.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required Responsible Alcohol Training prior to executing events
  • Significant experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, or retail/grocery is highly desirable

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds continuously.
  • Walking, Bending, Lifting, and Twisting continuously.
  • Work occurs primarily in On-Premise environments such as bars, restaurants, hotels, stadiums, special events, and retail environments. This role may require working in variable temperatures, navigating crowded spaces, and performing extended physical activity including standing, lifting, and moving promotional materials.
