Are you mechanically inclined and good at figuring out why something doesn't work? Do you enjoy working with your hands—but also enjoy helping people? Mobility Plus Greenville is looking for a Part-Time Mobility Technician to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician, maintenance professional, skilled tradesperson, veteran, semi-retired professional, or mechanically talented person who wants meaningful work without a full-time schedule.

This is not a typical retail job.
You'll spend your time helping customers, troubleshooting and repairing mobility equipment, making deliveries, and helping install accessibility products in customers' homes. One day you might diagnose a mobility scooter that won't run. The next you might repair a lift chair, deliver a power wheelchair, install a grab bar, help with a ramp installation, or help a veteran find the right mobility solution.

The common denominator is simple: Your work helps people stay mobile, safe, and independent.

Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20–30 hours per week. We're looking for someone who can become a dependable part of our regular weekly operation—not someone who simply picks up occasional shifts. The exact schedule can be discussed based on the needs of the business and the right candidate. Some flexibility is important because customer deliveries, service calls, and installations don't always fit perfectly into predetermined time blocks.

What You'll Do
Every day will be different but your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing mobility scooters, power wheelchairs, lift chairs, and manual wheelchairs
• Receiving, assembling and preparing new inventory
• Delivering mobility equipment to customers
• Setting up and adjusting equipment in customers' homes
• Teaching customers and caregivers how to safely use their equipment
• Installing or assisting with grab bars, ramps, vehicle lifts, stair lifts, bathroom safety products, and other accessibility equipment
• Helping customers identify appropriate mobility and accessibility solutions
• Demonstrating equipment in our showroom
• Assisting customers by phone and in person
• Maintaining an organized service area, tools, showroom, and company vehicle
• Accurately documenting repairs, deliveries, and customer interactions
• Pitching in wherever needed as part of a small team

Mobility Experience Is Helpful — But Not Required
We're not limiting our search to people who have previously worked with mobility equipment. We are looking for transferable mechanical experience and demonstrated problem-solving ability. If you're the person friends and family call when something breaks because you can usually figure it out, we want to talk with you.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant mechanical, technical, repair, maintenance, construction, field-service, or skilled-trade experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Experience using common hand and power tools
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Basic computer and technology skills
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new equipment and technical systems
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with delivering, servicing, and installing mobility equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift 50lbs alone or 150lbs with assistance.

Preferred but not required:

• Mobility or durable medical equipment experience
• Electrical or low-voltage troubleshooting
• Battery-powered equipment repair
• Field-service experience
• Accessibility-product installation
• Experience working with older adults, veterans, or people with disabilities
• Customer-facing technical experience
