Job description

Please Review the Schedule Before Applying
This opening is specifically for full-time and part-time evening schedules from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday or Saturday–Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Various sites across DC, VA, and MD
Pay: $19–$20 per hour
Compass does not currently have morning or daytime shifts available through this posting. Please apply only if you can consistently work one of the complete schedules above and reliably commute to your assigned property.
The Role
At Compass Concierge, we don’t just staff a desk. We create an experience.
As a Residential Concierge, you help create a welcoming, organized, and secure environment for residents, guests, vendors, and property-management teams.
The 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift is an active part of the residential experience. Residents are returning home, guests are arriving, deliveries increase, and the community transitions into the evening.
We are looking for warm, polished, dependable professionals who can manage that activity confidently while providing attentive and professional service.
This is not a passive front-desk position. Successful Concierges remain engaged, observant, and ready to assist throughout the shift.
What You’ll Do

  • Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents
  • Manage visitor access, packages, deliveries, and resident requests
  • Follow property-specific access and security procedures
  • Communicate professionally with residents, property management, and Compass leadership
  • Maintain accurate shift notes, incident documentation, and building records
  • Monitor lobby activity and maintain an organized front-desk environment
  • Respond appropriately to unexpected situations and emergencies
  • Learn and follow the procedures and expectations of your assigned property

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Professional judgment and the ability to work independently
  • Calm and professional handling of difficult situations
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication
  • Comfort learning technology and property-management systems
  • Professional appearance and workplace conduct
  • A reliable transportation or commuting plan

Previous residential Concierge experience is a plus, but not required. We welcome candidates from hospitality, hotels, property management, luxury retail, corporate reception, private clubs, senior living, and other high-touch customer-service environments.
What You Can Expect from Compass

  • Paid orientation and property-specific training
  • Clear site procedures and performance expectations
  • Support from Compass Operations and Human Resources
  • Recognition for strong performance and reliability
  • Opportunities for advancement into Lead Concierge, training, and management roles
  • Benefits for eligible full-time employees

The Right Fit
You may be a strong fit if you naturally notice when someone needs assistance, stay composed when things get busy, communicate professionally, and take ownership of your work without constant supervision.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
