Job description

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. With 15 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees, we want the best and brightest dealership professionals to join our team.

The Shunt Truck Driver will provide support to  Rush Truck Centres of Canada based out of our Kemptville, ON location.  Reporting to the General Manager, supporting the new truck sales department, they will be providing delivery services of new trucks. This is a part-time role from Monday to Friday with no benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provides delivery services on a part-time and on-call basis as needed.
  • Delivers new buses throughout Ontario and Quebec 
  • Requires occasional evening and weekend work.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
  • Must follow all Highway Traffic Act regulations with a full understanding of rules relating to transport driving.
  • Must complete logbooks and circle checks as required.
  • Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Such other services as determined by management from time to time.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • A valid 'G' and DZ License is required.
  • BZ / CZ / AZ License is acceptable.
  • Three months’ experience in customer and delivery services.
  • Must possess a current and valid G driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
