Job description

Overview
Ticket Sellers will understand and operate the Paciolan ticketing system and provide excellent customer service to all guests at the Ryan Center and Meade Stadium. They must know and understand each event, its seating charts, and the configurations of the Ryan Center.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • Learn and use the Paciolan ticketing system to process ticket sales and customer transactions
  • Become familiar with event details, including ticket pricing, discounts, seating configurations, restrictions, and admission policies
  • Understand the seating layouts and venue setup of the Ryan Center
  • Accurately process ticket sales and assist customers with purchases for athletic events, concerts, and other ticketed events
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while providing correct tickets, receipts, and change
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons in a professional, courteous, and positive manner
  • Assist guests by answering questions and directing them to entrances, ticket takers, or seating areas when needed
  • Reconcile and balance cash drawers and ticket sales at the end of each shift
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and legible records and reports
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding customer information, sales records, and internal operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations or Ticket Operations Manager
  • Adhere to all Ryan Center and University policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Experience handling cash and processing transactions accurately
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during high-volume events
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule-nights and weekends are required. URI Winter/Spring/Summer breaks are a plus
