Job description

Job Summary: The Security Officer protects the interests of the Hospital by patrolling buildings and grounds, enforcing procedural rules and regulations, and ensuring the personal safety of staff, visitors, families and property. Maintains security and safety for assigned areas. Maintains a working knowledge of the locations of various departments, buildings, access routes and admitting requirements. Responds to emergency situations, and documents any incidents. Provides logistical support services and ensure hospital vehicle are well maintained. Escorts personnel to and from parking lots and performs other job-related tasks as needed.

Specifications: High School Diploma or equivalent education required with one years related work experience. Current RI State Drivers License with Class 10 (chauffeur’s license) preferred. Entry level computer skills preferred. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
