Adjunct faculty members are responsible fordelivering curriculum, providing instruction, and performing student learningassessment. Adjuncts will demonstrate the ability toeffectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching andlearning. Courses at Waubonsee Community College may be offered in variousdelivery modes, however Waubonsee does not accept applications for fully remoteinstructors.

Responsibilities:
Designing syllabi, lessons, activities,assignments, and assessments to meet the established course description as wellas program, course, and college learning outcomes and/or objectives whileaddressing each student's needs as diverse learners.
Meeting all college deadlines for submission ofattendance, grades and data collection for assessment of student learning.
Incorporating learning-centered principles andconcepts while motivating students to actively participate in their educationalexperiences.
Integrating instructional and classroom technology(if applicable) appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teachingand learning.
Working collaboratively with professionalcolleagues to serve the needs of students and the community.
Modeling professionalism with excellentcommunication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Experience
Master's degree in Communications or a Masters Degree in arelated field with 18 graduate hours in Communications.
Preferred ExperienceTeaching Communications, or a related field, at a Community College orVocational/Technical institution.
Teaching traditionally underserved populations.
Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learningprocess.
Teachingin multiple instructional modalities.
Utilizing Learning Management Systems.
