Job description

On-Call Technicians
Part-Time
Royal Communication Consultants, based in New Jersey, is looking for candidates for part-time (as needed) contingent work to assist with desktop support/network trouble tickets within the Jacksonville area. This work will be conducted mainly during normal business hours, but may also include nights and weekends.
We are seeking candidates who are Level 1 or 2 Level Desktop Support techs with relevant educational credentials / technical certifications OR previous experience.
These trouble tickets can include the following:
Vendor Escorts
Desktop Installs, Upgrades
VPN, Break Fix, Help Desk/Tech Bar
Strong Customer Service
Decom Work
For those interested in basic networking we also work with cabling, data centers, and layer 1 networking or de-commissioning networks, ie: rack dismantling, patch panels, switches, routers, etc.
Data Center
Strong knowledge of data center applications. Must have experience in installing/decommissioning Routers, Switches, Patch Panels, and Cables and have worked in a "live wire" environment. Prefer candidates with tools, ie: gloves, cutters, console cable, fluke, flashlight, ladder, and a laptop.
TOOLS that could be helpful:
A ladder to support 8 ft. - 12 ft. high ceilings.
A laptop with USB console.
Power tools, cable cutters, crimpers, Fluke device, a ratchet set, and any other tools needed to remove the data rack.
