Overview

As the only aerial tramway in Southeast Alaska, guests at the Goldbelt Tram are invited to soar to new heights in scenic adventure aboard Juneau's top attraction. We offer locals and visitors an opportunity to experience breathtaking Alaska scenery, explore the miles of trails atop Mount Roberts, and learn more about Alaska Native culture. 

Summary

Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages and coffee that includes bottled and canned drinks. Retail selling of prepared foods including, but not limited to hot dogs, chips, and various other snacks.

Part-time and full-time schedules are available.

We're excited to share that the job is based in beautiful Juneau, Alaska! We kindly ask that all applicants either live in Juneau or be open to relocating at their own expense. 

Pay and Benefits: 

Seasonal Employees are eligible for the Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan. The plan is designed to provide an effective means to motivate and compensate eligible seasonal employees during the term of their assignment. However, Goldbelt, Inc. may, in certain limited circumstances, grant discretionary performance bonuses outside of this program, in the sole discretion of the Company.

Goldbelt, Inc. hopes that by providing short-term incentive compensation, this will motivate and increase the retention rate among its employees which in turn will enhance Goldbelt Inc.'s long-term value.

Starting Rate: $16.00 - DOE

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to provide quality customer service with a SMILE.
  • Ability to operate technical equipment (espresso machine and cash register).
  • Knowledge and skill in making a large variety of coffee drinks.
  • Ability to accurately exchange money with the customers.
  • Ability to reconcile all cash and money at the end of the day.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
  • Ability to learn and use the company computer to input data on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • This position requires heavy customer contact and excellent customer service skills.
  • A positive focus and customer service skills is to ensure the return of our customers.
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques.
  • Ability to meet time and attendance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills)

  • State of Alaska Food Workers Card.
  • Three (3) months Barista experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferrred Qualifications (education, experience, skills)

  • Recently completed a Barista Training Program is preferred.
