Position Summary

Theย Custodianย performsย all custodial work throughout the building to keep theย Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. They're responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all areas meet established cleanliness and sanitation standards.ย 

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.75

This position will remain open until October 2, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Arriveย for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to workย 
  • Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom sanitationย 
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces regularlyย 
  • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace linersย 
  • Refill paper products, soap dispensers, and other supplies as neededย 
  • Maintain floors through stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning as neededย 
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisorย 
  • Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipmentย asย requiredย 
  • Assistย with outdoor sweeping or seasonal upkeep when applicableย 
  • Works safely,ย quicklyย and efficiently to meet all deadlinesย 
  • Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly mannerย 
  • All other tasks assigned byย Custodialย Team Lead
Qualifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidaysย 
  • High school diploma or GED preferredย 
  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience is a plus, but notย requiredย 
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment and initiative
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, stooping, lifting, and walking.
  • Physical demands of prolonged repetitive motions normally associated with mopping, sweeping, buffing, dusting, and climbing
  • Ability to work inside or outside environmentsย 
  • Able to emain flexible and adjust to situations as they occurย
