About Us
Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The Part-time Ram Rush Bus Driver provides safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for Albany State University students between East and West Campuses and designated campus stops. This role is essential in supporting student mobility, campus safety, and operational efficiency.
This is a continuous job posting. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. While we may not have an immediate opening, qualified candidates will remain in our talent pool and be contacted as future roles open.

Responsibilities
Operate university transit buses safely and in compliance with all state, federal, and university regulations.
Provide scheduled shuttle service between campus locations, adhering to assigned routes and timetables.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Ensure passenger safety, including assisting riders with boarding and disembarking when needed.
Enforce university transportation policies and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all passengers.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and campus safety regarding route issues, delays, or emergencies.
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and incident reports as required.
Participate in required training, safety meetings, and performance evaluations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support Ram Rush operations.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement (Class B preferred) with a clean driving record.
6 months to 1 year of large vehicle driving experience requiring the CDL license.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience driving buses, shuttles, or commercial vehicles.
Experience working in a university, transit, or customer service environment.
Proposed Salary
This position pays $20 per hour for 19 hours or less per week.
